I’m Alireza PoostinDooz, a clinical psychologist specializing in Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP). I am deeply committed to helping individuals understand and manage emotional and psychological challenges, with a focus on improving personal, professional, and family relationships. By exploring unconscious emotional patterns, I support clients in building healthier, more meaningful connections.
I specialize in treating depression, anxiety, OCD, and personality disorders—particularly within the neurotic and borderline spectrum. Using ISTDP, I guide clients toward deep emotional healing and lasting change in a focused and time-effective way.
I also integrate Vipassana meditation, which I trained in at the Igatpuri Center in India, to help manage anxiety and enhance emotional regulation based on individual therapeutic needs.
In addition to clinical work, I teach Nonviolent Communication (NVC) and offer communication and self-expression training for both therapists and clients. I also draw from my studies in moral and existential philosophy to enrich therapy and teaching when appropriate.
I’m a proud member of the National Elites Foundation and the American Psychological Association (APA), and I remain dedicated to advancing knowledge and practice in the field of psychology.
