Professional Bio

I’m Azadeh Afshari, a Clinical Psychologist and a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC). I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and bring over a decade of professional experience in mental health. Prior to moving to Canada, I worked as a therapist in several reputable psychology clinics in Tehran.

I believe that every person carries a unique story — often filled with twists, challenges, and moments of struggle. In the therapeutic process, believing in the possibility of change is the first step toward healing. My goal is to create a safe, accepting, and supportive space where clients can foster awareness and growth.

I draw on an integrative approach tailored to each individual’s needs. My therapeutic work incorporates Psychodynamic and Psychoanalytic approaches, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness-based practices. I also specialize in couples therapy, focusing on emotional needs, communication patterns, and relationship dynamics.

My areas of focus include individual therapy, couples therapy, group therapy, and premarital counseling. Whether you’re looking to explore deeper patterns, strengthen your relationships, or move toward a more meaningful and fulfilling life, I’m here to walk alongside you with empathy, patience, and clinical insight.
