About

I am Zahra, a Clinical Psychologist and Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with more than nine years of experience in psychotherapy and counselling. I am also a registered member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). Throughout my professional career, I have supported individuals experiencing trauma, grief, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), personality-related difficulties, life crises, and emotional and family challenges. I also work with couples and families, helping them recognize unhealthy relationship patterns, navigate conflict, and build safer, more meaningful connections. In addition to my independent practice as a Clinical Psychologist, I currently work in Canada as a Clinical Counsellor and a Grief Counsellor in hospice care. These experiences have taught me that even during life’s most difficult moments, a safe and compassionate therapeutic space can help people feel seen, understood, and supported as they move toward healing. I tailor therapy to each client’s needs and circumstances, drawing from evidence-based approaches such as Schema Therapy and Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP). My goal is to provide a safe, empathetic, and nonjudgmental environment where you can better understand the roots of your emotional and behavioural patterns, process difficult experiences, and create meaningful, lasting changes in your life and relationships.
